At Hampstead Painting Company, we offer a written two-year workmanship guarantee on all decoration work we carry out — interior and exterior, small and large projects. This guarantee is a genuine commitment, not a marketing statement, and it reflects both our confidence in the quality of our work and our commitment to the clients who have trusted us with their homes.
What the Guarantee Covers
The guarantee covers paint adhesion failure, substrate delamination caused by our preparation, and significant colour variation across surfaces decorated in the same session — in short, any failure caused by our workmanship or material selection. It does not cover normal wear and tear (scuffs, knocks, normal fading), damage caused by structural movement, or failure caused by pre-existing damp or structural problems that were identified at the time of quoting but not remedied by the client.
Why We Can Offer This Guarantee
We can offer this guarantee because we use the right products and carry out the correct preparation on every project. We don't cut corners on primer coats, skip preparation steps to save time, or substitute cheaper materials than those specified in our quotes. Decorators who don't prepare properly or who use cheap materials can't offer meaningful guarantees — because they know their work is likely to fail.
Claiming on the Guarantee
If any covered issue appears within the two-year guarantee period, simply call us and we will arrange to visit the property, assess the failure, and carry out the necessary remedial work at no charge. We stand behind our work because we're proud of it.
