Colour selection is frequently the part of a redecoration project that causes the most stress. The combination of an overwhelming number of options (Farrow & Ball alone has 132 colours; Little Greene over 200), the unpredictable way colours shift under different light conditions, and the high cost of getting it wrong makes colour decision-making genuinely difficult. Our colour consultation service removes this stress entirely.
What a Colour Consultation Involves
We visit your home at the same time of day that you use each room most (to assess the natural light conditions you actually live with) and assess each space in terms of light direction and quality, existing fittings, floor and ceiling colours, and your stated preferences. We then prepare a colour scheme proposal for each room — or for the whole house as a connected scheme — and present it with physical paint chips in your actual spaces so you can see the colours in your own light.
Physical Test Patches
We always recommend applying a physical test colour sample (Farrow & Ball sample pots, Little Greene 100ml samples) to the actual wall in the room before committing to a full order. A paint chip is useful as a reference but no substitute for seeing the colour large on your specific wall under your specific light.
