How Keim Works

Unlike conventional masonry paint, which forms a surface film, Keim works through silicification. The potassium silicate binder reacts chemically with the silicates in the masonry substrate, creating a permanent mineral bond. The result is not a paint "on" the wall — it is integrated into the wall itself.

Solid masonry walls need to breathe. Modern film-forming masonry paints can trap moisture within the wall, leading to damp problems, blown render, and frost damage.
