Farrow & Ball paint is one of the most requested products in Hampstead NW3, and for good reason — the high pigment content, flat chalk finish, and exceptional colour depth are unique. But it is also one of the most unforgiving paints to apply, and poor technique results in very visible lap marks and roller stipple.
Why Farrow & Ball Is Different
Farrow & Ball Estate Emulsion has a very high pigment content and a chalk-like binder that dries quickly and does not level out the way standard emulsions do. This means every brush stroke and roller mark is visible unless the technique is precisely right.
Our Application Method
Our Farrow & Ball specialists in Hampstead use the following technique: 9" medium-pile roller for walls, cutting in with a 2.5" angled brush while the roller coat is still wet, and always maintaining a wet edge. We work from light sources inward to avoid visible joins. Each coat is lightly abraded with fine-grit paper before the next.
Popular Farrow & Ball Colours in NW3
The most specified Farrow & Ball colours in Hampstead currently include: String No.8, Elephants Breath No.229, Mole's Breath No.276, Hardwick White No.5, Dead Salmon No.28, Hague Blue No.30, and Railings No.31.
