Belsize Park Mansion Block: Full Interior Redecoration

A 3-bedroom mansion block flat on Belsize Avenue required a complete interior redecoration. The property had high ceilings, ornate cornicing, and large sash windows typical of Belsize Park mansion blocks. Previous decorators had used poor-quality paints and the finish was peeling and uneven throughout. The client wanted a complete refresh using premium paints while respecting the period character of the flat.

Key Challenges

We coordinated access with the building porter and managing agent to ensure minimal disruption to other residents. All surfaces were thoroughly prepared — old paint was stripped from woodwork, walls were filled, sanded, and primed. We applied Farrow & Ball Estate Emulsion in Wimborne White throughout the main rooms, with Railings on the kitchen cabinetry for a contemporary contrast. All woodwork was finished in Little Greene Intelligent Eggshell for durability. Cornicing was hand-painted using specialist brushes to ensure crisp, clean lines.
